What have you done lately??

Hey there...
It's been an awfully long time since I wrote something substantial out here. Was wondering of late, about how I have spent a quarter of a century and realised something. It was a life, I didn't wanna talk about. Surprised?? Thinking?? Allow me to explain (seems to be my favorite phrase at times!! :D)

As I was saying, my life is something I would rather not talk about - to probably the future generations. Wondering why? Simple, because it has been predictable. It's a life everyone has. You study, you clear your exams, you move on to college, get that degree, move ahead... get a job, or may be study a lil more... meanwhile sneak in some regular fun... that's the well-trodden path!! Meanwhile, there would traces of love in your life... you fall for someone, sometimes its good, sometimes you can't wait to get out of it... and then you finally, fall hook, line and sinker.... may be it's eventful for some... but again, nothing out of the ordinary in the grand scheme of things. Nothing crazy, nothing exceptional... nothing worth more than a passing mention (another of the have lived!!) So, what is it about my life that I would really talk about as of today??

I don't know... am wondering!! May be I'll follow that up later....

Can you tell me what you would talk about??

How I built my library. That should put the future generation to sleep in no time. Other than that, I just realized I have done nothing worth a story. Bleh.

hmmmm. Are you saying this just to be modest? Maybe you have followed the well trodden path but that does not mean that your life is ordinary! No, my friend, every person might look at the same scene and you will find that each one comes up with a different view.
Take the case that 5 people are out for a walk in the countryside:

1 person will be lost in thought about his or her work or some personal dilemma that is occupying his mind. The beautiful scenery will just not register in his mind and he will find the walk a mundane activity.

Person no. 2 will be busy chattering about some topic or the other and will enjoy the walk but for him also it will not be anything more than an ordinary experience.

Person no. 3 is a shy fellow who is trying hard to be liked and is nodding at everything person no. 2 says. He/she might be so stressed that they might not even enjoy the walk.

Person no. 4 is a cocksure character who is longing to get back to his warm couch and a cup of Cappuccino.

Person no. 5 is a creative personality who perceives the beauty of his surroundings, he will notice the blue of the sky, the yellow sunflowers that are swaying from side to side as if dancing to a melody, he will feel the cool breeze whispering news of faraway places in his ear, he will dance upon the stacks of hay piled by the side of the road as his friends look upon him with derision, he will look at the long stretch of the road before him trace its beautiful curve in his head like a man caressing a woman's curves. He will gaze at the fading sun rays that look like a beam of glitter from the wand of a fairy godmother, he will leave the road he is walking upon and ascend into the clouds and walk upon a rainbow. To him, that walk will be a delightful adventure rather than a commonplace activity!!

So, which of the 5 personalities are you?

I dunno, I'd say my life's been pretty monotonous devoid of any 'masala' until now...
but actually future generations ko story sunane ke liye bahut chote chote moments bhi hain, one which arent extraordinary or anything but still special. :)
